Disclaimer and Our Views on Our Life-Awareness Programs and Questionnaires

This following document sets forth the disclaimer regarding for the The Chaston Centre’s views on our life-awareness programs and questionnaires.

The Chaston Centre questionnaires are intended to be fun and educational. They may help increase your awareness of particular experiences or of obstacles that are holding you back, in any area of your life. They are not by themselves tools for diagnosing any type of health or mental health condition.

Our life-awareness questionnaires and quizzes at thechastoncentre.com and karenchaston.com should not be understood as providing any type of diagnosis or healthcare recommendation.

In the view of this site, our self-administered life-awareness questionnaires may help to enhance self-awareness of one’s own experiences but cannot give any well-informed recommendation about what should be done about those experiences. In other words, by asking about particular experiences, our questionnaires may simply help highlight elements of those experiences.

Having those experiences highlighted may offer you an opportunity to reflect on them at greater length, or to consider their relevance in a broader life context. What any individual chooses to do — or ‘should’ choose to do — with the results of any given questionnaire, is a matter for the individual and should not be dictated by the questionnaire itself.

If you’re experiencing symptoms of a mental health problem (such as feelings of hopelessness, difficulty concentrating, sleep disruption, and mood disturbance), it’s crucial to consult a mental health professional as soon as possible.
